Hi Folks:
Well good day to you all. After all the early bad March weather, I thought it would go out as a lamb, but if so it had better hurry! Maybe it's 'In like a lion, Out like a lioness' this year....
Well, some good news. Mr. Bush had at least one speech recently where he acted like a real president. One thing he said pointblank was that he considers marriage as being between a man and a woman. I liked that straight kind of talk. It would appear that he still has no real desire to stop the illegal alien influx into this country although he did say that stopping the illegal crossing of the boarders is a priority.
Our troops have again started to fight back in Iraq. To bad they don't destroy whole towns and areas so that those people will actually believe that we mean what we say over there and stop using the troops as target practice. One thing, we again will have a country full of men when those guys all get back - no milk sops there! Woman libbers will hate every one of them, although be attracted to them....how do you do a raspberry in print? brllee#$*eees^sssst !!! maybe?
Lots of talk about the economy being good and lots of jobs lately. Doesn't anyone realize that most of the people employed in recent years work for government in some form or other. The big companies are sending their jobs overseas in an effort to break the unions and make a profit .... hard to blame them sometimes, but something honest needs to be said and done about it. Nobody is talking about the auto companies, Ford, GM, Chrysler having overseas partnerships and they may outright own some of those companies...they don't "lose" profits, they out to break the stranglehold of the unions. The still sell their cars under foreign names..... And 'No Child Left Behind,' the big Fed education program is really about government control of the schools and the creation of more jobs to make the economy look better. It seems that the solution is to start some more government programs like collection child support, or counseling for children, or.....whatever they can think up to put people on the government payroll and say there is more jobs that all of Europe, etc... Looks good on paper doesn't it? Wonder how many people are really fooled by all this good economy/good job market stuff....? Might be good if your business sells to the government. Ha. Here where I live the whole county was 62% government jobs several years ago (these include, city, county, state, federal, schools, etc.)
You always hear about these movie directors who make these anti American movies. Have you ever heard of John Ford, movie director? Of course you have, he made a bunch of the John Wayne movies amongst many others. Did you know that he won 6 Grammies, joined the navy in WW2 1942, was at the battle of midway, while in the Navy made the movie Dec 7th where I believe he won an Oscar? This guy was a American director and a REAL patriot. To bad some of his macho hasn't rubbed off on the directors of this day and age. A quote by Suzanne Fields says a lot along these lines "Respect must be earned; it is conferred, willy-nilly, only by the weak and cowardly." This guy earned my respect, most of these directors of today have only earned my scorn.
All right now.... I recently heard Michael Savage ask a caller why the caller thought that those middle east countries among others were so poor and impoverished. Well the guy couldn't answer but, of course, Savage knew why although he didn't say (he would rather draw it out of people than simply tell them.) My stepfather, Ronald Douglas, many years ago told me that the reason that many of these countries (meaning third world countries) were poor and impoverished was because of their religion. Now he was talking specifically about South, and Central America at the time and was referring to the Catholic Church. And as I've thought about his words over the years I begin to understand. strict religious faith, although to be desired no doubt, creates a state where there is not much inspiration, economic growth, and opportunity for it's citizens. The religion has a virtual stranglehold on everything from religious tradition for citizens to the same stranglehold in the governments of these countries. We started this country on a different plane from most with the separation of religion and state and the freedom of religion for all citizens. How lucky, well, maybe how fortunate we were! Well now we come to the middle eastern countries and the Muslin faith. Same thing as I've mentioned above. As long as they are governed by their religion they will never be free and will never (again) be great. And as long as they are governed by their religion they will never get out of their poverty and the hate they bare against other religions. I said again because there was a time when most of Europe was in the dark ages that the Moslem empires/countries were the light of the world. That was an age where the grip of the religion was somewhat relaxed and science, math, and much progress was tolerated. They became great. To ever become great again they will need to get beyond their religion and consequently their hate.
Well, enough for today folks.
