Hi Folks: Well, an interesting choice John McCain made for a running mate, isn't it? He has surprised everyone and no one more than myself. I thought for certain that he would be compelled to pick Mitt Romney for his Vice President candidate. Mr. Romney was way ahead in all Republican and Conservative poles regarding who he should pick for his running mate. And, I might add, that I approved that choice as Mr. Romney was by far the most recognized Conservative that Mr. McCain could have chosen to help him win the election, and I am a Conservative.
Now that Mr. McCain chose Sarah Palin as his running mate everything has changed ..... including my perspective on Mr. McCain. She will do a great job if elected and will learn much to add to her already extensive knowledge of political / governmental management which she has been learning in Alaska. (Many people will not know that Alaska is run by the Governor just as Washington is run by the President. The Governor appoints most of the important positions there as the President does his cabinet. This gives her an edge against all criticism for not having experience) This is what we need folks! We need new people who are not beholden to the establishment in Washington DC to be elected to office. I for one hope that she makes the grade and gets to be elected Vice President of the United States of America.
My perspective of Mr. McCain has also suffered a change. Although I still don't like many of his past decisions in the Senate and his collaboration with Liberals there, I can see that this is a very innovative decision that he has made. Perhaps he will make a credible President after all. All in all, when he chose Mrs. Palin to run with him for the presidency, it may be one of his finest moments!
Stay safe,
