Late October - Early November 1998

Hospital Department, 2W

Rogue Valley Medical Center,

2825 East Barnette Road

Medford, Oregon 97504

Because I am full of gratitude for the good care, attention, and help given to me by the nurses, I want to share my impressions of what I saw from the 2W room.

1. It is rewarding to observe those nurses acting with a great sense of duty and dedication.

2. They work with vigor and energy.

3. They act with respect and attention toward the patients.

4. They are firm (although kind) in applying medical prescriptions.

5. They are patient with their patients impatience.

6. Their mind is open to the patients needs.

7. Among themselves they assist each other quickly and cheerfully.

8. Their actions have a note of optimism and they try to be pleasant.

9. They seem to be warm-hearted.

10. Just a bit flirty so as not to be a sourpuss.

11. Their positive relationship with Dr. S. is impressive and so is Dr. S's relationship with them.

12. All the above applies to the nurses who visited me at home during a week.

A sour note:

A. Endless conversations in the corridor and from the rooms across the hall.

B. The worst is what happened from the other bed behind the curtain. Nature provided our body with several holes. Well! There came across an incredibly vigorous activity from all the holes of the other patient. I would rather not stay in the hospital for this reason.

Conclusion:

I repeat I am very grateful to the nurses and Dr. S. who took care of me. This calls for a lot of blessings from God.

Yours,

Impatient, patient A
